But the Ventures-styled "Momma Miss America" and "Singalong Junk" are quite fun and they add to the record's homespun appeal. In most of the vocal pieces, Paul's melodies are pretty generous and three of them are certainly served at Beatles level. "Junk", which he resurrected from the White Album era, has an engaging wit in its lyrics/5().

     · “Momma Miss America” is a track of Paul McCartney’s debut solo album, McCartney, released in April From the press release of “McCartney“: An instrumental recorded completely at home. Made up as I went along – first a sequence of chords, then a melody on top. Piano, drums, acoustic guitar, electric guitar.

Much of the lp sounds like so much goofing around in a recording studio. 'Every Night' is one of those cloying melodies that McCartney does so well. as is the sentimental 'Junk'. 'That Would Be Something' is nothing but a hook. Just about ANY instrumental from the sixties is more compelling than 'Momma Miss America'.
