Good morning Man Utd fans

Manchester United punched their ticket to the FA Cup quarter-finals with a 3-1 win over West Ham at Old Trafford.

The Hammers provided United with a scare on 54 minutes when Said Benrahma opened the scoring for David Moyes’ side.

But the Red Devils fought back and equalised with Nayef Aguerd’s equaliser after 77 minutes.

Alejandro Garnacho turned the game on its head in the 90th minute before Fred sealed the victory in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

Erik ten hag’s men are now set to face Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-finals – the upcoming matches in the last eight will be played across the weekend of Saturday, March 18.

Meanwhile, US investors Elliott Management are ready to finance £2billion worth of Old Trafford upgrades amid fears the Glazers could stay in charge of United.

The unpopular Glazer family opened the door to a sale of the club in November.

Qatar’s Shiekh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe have made offers to purchase the Red Devils.

But while both parties await a response from Raine Group – the bankers dealing with the sale – an offer to finance Old Trafford’s upgrade has arisen from Elliott Management.

Interested bidders are hoping to hear back from Raine within the next few days regarding the next steps.

And United boss Ten Hag claimed it’s “too soon” to decide whether the Red Devils will pursue a permanent move for either loanee Wout Weghorst or Marcel Sabitzer.

When asked if he wanted to keep them in the squad, the Dutch tactician said: ”I think it is much too quick [to decide]. [It is] much too soon to talk about that.

“First, we are in this season and that is where the focus has to be.

“No distractions for what is coming next season. Only the season we are in.

“We are in the right position at this moment, this is the position we want to be as we are now competing in three leagues [competitions].”

Finally, Real Madrid have made United target Jude Bellingham their top summer transfer target.

Bellingham is one of the most in-demand teenagers after his exploits at the 2022 World Cup and for Borussia Dortmund.

Liverpool, Chelsea, the Red Devils and Manchester City have all been linked with the ex-Birmingham star.

But the England international has also been made one of Real’s “main targets” for the summer transfer window.

That is according to Sport, who report that fellow World Cup star Josko Gvardiol is also a priority.
